Activity 1: 

Brief description of the Activity: 

Create and/or revise the communications in the parish and the local community.  This includes new and revised communications for parish organizations and parishioners. New communications are needed to encourage outreach to the community.

What needs to happen for it to be successful? 

Enhance the usage of Flock Notes in the parish.  Create/enhance the parish online presence and website.  Publicize the different types of communications and sign up as many parishioners a possible. Publish messages from the Pastor.  Increase communications between the parish organizations.  Create/enhance parish communications in local news media (parish activities, Articles from our pastor, etc).   

How will we know this is successful? 

Our success will be determined by the level of participation and feedback received from the parish and community.  

Is the activity sustainable and absolutely needed?

Yes   

What are the budgetary implications? 

There does not seem to be any budgetary impacts for this activity at this time.

Activity 2: 

Brief description of the Activity: 

Implement an annual Time & Talent sign up process to encourage parishioners from all age groups to get involved in parish activities and liturgies.  Commission new ministers and refresh training to long-standing ministers.

What needs to happen for it to be successful? 

Re-establish roles and ministers for the church liturgies.  Expand where possible to include the youth of our parish (Youth Mass and being regular ministers where appropriate).  Assess and implement additional ministries where applicable (e.g. First Friday’s, Communion Service ministers, Adoration, etc).  Provide a means of volunteering for parish activities and encourage all parishioners to sign up.  Establish the communications and management for these activities to make them sustainable.    

How will we know this is successful? 

Success of this activity will be evident by the level and growth in participation from our parishioners.

Yes   

What are the budgetary implications? 

There does not seem to be any budgetary impacts for this activity at this time.

Re-establish Education Programs for adults and youth.    

Areas: 

 Stewardship 

 Co-responsibility 

 Parishes as centers of charity and mercy  

What needs to happen for it to be successful? 

The CCD classes need to be restarted for all the youth of our parish.  Adult continuing education classes need to be set up and provided routinely.  Advent and Lenten small group programs may also be a possibility.    How will we know this is successful? Success of this activity will be evident by the level and growth in participation from our parishioners.  

Is the activity sustainable and absolutely needed?

Yes   

What are the budgetary implications? 

The budgetary impacts for this activity are not known at this time.
